Kronos Training Announcement
This winter, our current Time & Attendance system, API, will be replaced with a new system for performing timekeeping functions. This new system, Kronos, will function very similarly to API, with UVACH team members and managers using the physical Kronos timeclocks and desktop application to clock in and out, approve timecards, and create schedules. However, team members can expect to see a new interface with Kronos and changes to some time and attendance policies to better align with UVA policies.
In September, timekeepers, time approvers, and advanced schedulers were required to complete in-person training courses related to Kronos. Team members who would like to re-take the course or take it for the first time can search Kronos on NetLearning and self-register. These courses are being offered during the first full week of December and are only available for timekeepers, time approvers, and advanced schedulers.
For the rest of our team members who use the Time & Attendance clocks to view their schedule, request paid time off (PTO), self-schedule, or submit timecards, you can expect to receive online training job aids and in-person assistance during the first week of Kronos go-live. Job aids can also be located on the training page of the integration website.
In the meantime, if you have questions about the Kronos implementation or training materials, please see the Kronos FAQs on the Integration Updates website or reach out to your HR business partner.
Introducing a New Time & Attendance System for UVA Community Health Team Members
Starting this winter, all UVA Community Health facilities will have new physical time clocks installed in their buildings. The new Kronos time clocks will replace the existing API clocks. Additionally, team members will use a new Kronos Time & Attendance system for shift scheduling and desktop time entry. Our goal is to keep existing processes the same where possible, while streamlining our timekeeping activities to improve efficiency. The new time clocks and Time & Attendance system will bring consistency across the UVA Community Health facilities and upgrade our technologies and processes.
